They explained: “The cold, damp winter months can make drying clothes in winter a challenge, particularly when you don’t have a tumble dryer.<\/p>\n “In summer drying clothes is much easier as your homes and garden are naturally warmer so clothes can air dry quickly. But drying clothes indoors in the winter can take up a lot of room and a lot of time.”<\/p>\n Unfortunately, it remains a chore that must be tackled, whatever the weather<\/a>. However, one trick will ensure your garments smell ‘as good and fresh as new’ without that horrible musty odour.<\/p>\n The specialists say you simply need to give your washing a vigorous shake when removing it from the machine. When paired with an additional spin cycle, this proves a brilliant method to speed up drying time.<\/p>\n The experts advised: “Give laundry a good spin and an extra shake when removing it from the washing machine to extract surplus water and damp. Make sure you check your laundry’s care labels before you spin them, as some clothes will be too delicate.”<\/p>\n Another crucial tip for indoor drying is hanging your washing straight after the cycle finishes. Letting clothes sit in the machine or laundry basket is guaranteed to leave them reeking of mould, and if space is tight, your curtain rail can work as emergency hanging space.<\/p>\n When using a clothes horse, try placing it beside an open window or in a well-ventilated spot.
