\n\tBABYMETAL<\/a> has a big week on the Billboard charts (dated Aug. 23), as the band\u2019s new album, Metal Forth, debuts in the top 10 across multiple rankings \u2014 including the act\u2019s first-ever top 10 on the overall Billboard 200<\/a>. On that tally, the set enters at No. 9 with 36,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending Aug. 14 \u2013 marking the group\u2019s best week ever by units earned. Further, of that sum, album sales comprise 33,500 \u2014 the act\u2019s biggest sales week. The set debuts at No. 2 on the Top Album Sales chart, marking BABYMETAL\u2019s second top 10 on that chart.<\/p>\n

\n\tMetal Forth also debuts in the top 10 on Top Hard Rock Albums (No. 1, the act\u2019s second leader), Top Rock & Alternative Albums (No. 2), Top Rock Albums (No. 2), Indie Store Album Sales (No. 4), Vinyl Albums (No. 2) and World Albums (No. 1, the band\u2019s third topper).<\/p>\n

\n\tBillboard\u2019s Top Album Sales<\/a> chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The chart\u2019s history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Pure album sales were the sole measurement utilized by the Billboard 200<\/a> albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album (TEA) units and streaming equivalent album (SEA) units.<\/p>\n

\n\tMetal Forth arrives in a very busy top 10 on the Top Album Sales chart, where seven albums debut on the latest ranking. At No. 1, mgk\u2019s Lost Americana bows with 40,500 sold, while Jonas Brothers\u2019 Greetings From Your Hometown starts at No. 3 (26,000), Ethel Cain\u2019s Willoughby Tucker I\u2019ll Always Love You launches at No. 4 (23,000) and The Black Keys round out the top five with the No. 5 debut of No Rain, No Flowers (12,000).<\/p>\n
