Marvel Studios\u2019 highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday<\/a><\/strong> movie has received a new interesting update regarding one of its leading characters. The fifth installment is scheduled to make its debut in theaters on December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.<\/p>\n

What is the new Avengers: Doomsday rumor?<\/p>\n

According to insider Daniel Richtman, Avengers: Doomsday will reportedly feature Robert Downey Jr.<\/a>\u2018s Victor von Doom\/Doctor Doom going after \u201cpeople who caused the incursions.\u201d This rumor is seemingly in line with the recent report about Doctor Doom\u2019s potentially using young Franklin Richards<\/a> to stop the incursions from further endangering the Multiverse. <\/p>\n

This comes after fans caught a first glimpse at the fan-favorite Marvel villain at the end of The Fantastic Four: First Steps. In a previous interview, Sue Storm\/Invisible Woman actress Vanessa Kirby confirmed that it was Downey who appeared<\/a> during the movie\u2019s mid-credits scene, revealing that the Oscar-winning actor actually played a key part behind-the-scenes as he guided them throughout filming. <\/p>\n

Avengers: Doomsday is being directed by Avengers: Endgame filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo from a screenplay written by Stephen McFeely. Besides Downey, the latest installment will also feature the return of Marvel vet Chris Hemsworth<\/a>, with Chris Evans also rumored<\/a> to appear. The ensemble cast will also include Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Paul Rudd, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Letitia Wright, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Kelsey Grammer, Lewis Pullman, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell, and Danny Ramirez. The fifth installment will also feature the return of X-Men stars Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier, Ian McKellen\u2018s Magneto, Alan Cumming\u2018s Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn\u2018s Mystique, James Marsden\u2018s Cyclops, and Channing Tatum\u2018s Gambit. <\/p>\n
