Having issues logging in and I have payments due,&#8217; one woman posted on <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/sciencetech\/facebook\/index.html\" id=\"mol-f348adc0-ad79-11f0-bf30-79eebbe2ab34\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Australia has recorded around 3,000 incident reports related to the outage, with nearly 1,500 reported in the United States, according to the tracking service StatusGator.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Afterpay is a popular buy now, pay later provider that Kmart<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">About 3.5million Australians use the service, among its 24million global users.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">It was purchased by Jack Dorsey-led point-of-sale giant Block in 2021 and processes about USD$27billion in annual payments.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Shoppers and consumer experts have raised concerns with the service, claiming it allows people to overextend their budgets on unnecessary purchases.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">While the service does not charge interest on purchases, users can incur hefty fees for late repayments.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Since June, buy now, pay later products have been subject to similar rules to credit cards, requiring providers like Afterpay to <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-10175353\/Afterpay-launches-Australian-Venue-including-Bungalow-8.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">hold a credit license<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">It also means customers who pay late will see that appear on their credit reports, affecting their
