Gardai<\/a> are investigating the alleged assault of a female child in Citywest, Co Dublin<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Officers were called to the scene of the alleged incident on the grounds of the Citywest Hotel<\/a> in Saggart, west Dublin on Monday morning. A man was arrested at the scene and an area was sealed off by gardai.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred on the site which was recently purchased by the Irish government<\/a> for more than \u20ac148 million to turn it into a permanent international protection accommodation centre.<\/p>\n

In a statement to The Irish Mirror gardai said: “Garda\u00ed are investigating an alleged assault of a female juvenile reported to have occurred at Saggart, Co. Dublin on Monday, 20th October 2025.<\/p>\n

“A male (30s) has been arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a Garda Station in the Dublin region. Investigations are ongoing.”<\/p>\n
