{"id":135028,"date":"2025-10-21T00:53:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T00:53:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/135028\/"},"modified":"2025-10-21T00:53:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T00:53:07","slug":"man-arrested-over-alleged-assault-on-child-in-dublin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/135028\/","title":{"rendered":"Man arrested over alleged assault on child in Dublin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A man has been arrested following an alleged assault of a girl in Dublin.<\/p>\n<p>Gardai said they were investigating an incident in Saggart on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">The alleged assault was reported in the area of the Citywest Hotel complex, which has been purchased by the Government for the accommodation of international protection applicants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A man in his 30s has been arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at a garda station in the Dublin region.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Under that legislation, he can be questioned for up to 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">A garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">An Garda Siochana also said there had been incorrect reports that the incident involved a fatal stabbing.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A man has been arrested following an alleged assault of a girl in Dublin.
