{"id":135114,"date":"2025-10-21T02:04:09","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T02:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/135114\/"},"modified":"2025-10-21T02:04:09","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T02:04:09","slug":"mum-of-three-at-ipas-accommodation-in-limerick-remains-in-standoff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/135114\/","title":{"rendered":"Mum-of-three at Ipas accommodation in Limerick remains in standoff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A MUM-of-three living in IPAS accommodation has vowed to stay in her Limerick home, despite facing a compulsory relocation to Donegal and what she describes as a potential forced eviction.<\/p>\n<p>Fatimah Ayodele, who met presidential frontrunner Catherine Connolly over the weekend, claims she was visited by officials after refusing to comply with an order to leave her home in Mungret.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is tormenting. This is become too much &#8211; it&#8217;s heartbreaking. I am going to stay. They need to stop this. It is getting out of hand,\u201d Ms Ayodele told Limerick Live.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ MORE:\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/news\/community\/1921226\/we-dread-to-think-fears-of-tragedy-on-limerick-road-after-near-misses.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">&#8216;We dread to think&#8217; &#8211; Fears of tragedy on Limerick road after &#8216;near misses&#8217;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>She claimed gardai knocked on her door on Saturday morning, waking up her and her three children, Anjie, 8, Simon, 10, and Ade, 12, who were left \u201cfrightened\u201d and \u201cin tears\u201d by the visit.<\/p>\n<p>Limerick Live sought a response from the gardai and were told \u201cno incident matching that description\u201d could be found in the system.<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, Ms Ayodele and her children met Ms Connolly, who was on the canvass at Crescent Shopping Centre, with the meeting organised by Social Democrats councillor Elisa O\u2019Donovan.<\/p>\n<p>Both she, and Independent councillor Ursula Gavan, who has provided on-the-ground support to the family, raised\u00a0her case in this Monday morning\u2019s metropolitan district meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Up to Friday, almost 200 migrants were present at the estate in Abbey Court, Mungret.
