{"id":136682,"date":"2025-10-21T19:34:08","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T19:34:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/136682\/"},"modified":"2025-10-21T19:34:08","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T19:34:08","slug":"planning-for-e400m-limerick-development-to-be-submitted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/136682\/","title":{"rendered":"Planning for \u20ac400m Limerick development to be submitted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A planning application for a \u20ac400 million development at the former Cleeves factory site in Limerick city is set to be submitted by Limerick Twenty Thirty next week.<\/p>\n<p>The plans for the Cleeves Riverside Quarter include a mixed development of housing, apartments and student accommodation on the banks of the River Shannon.<\/p>\n<p>It also provides for commercial space, a cr\u00e8che and two acres of public realm with new parks and plazas.<\/p>\n<p>Limerick Twenty Thirty, an economic development company established by Limerick Council, said the scale and ambition of the project reflects a commitment to meeting housing needs and shaping a sustainable future for the city.<\/p>\n<p>The development company will reveal the plan first at a public information event at The Flaxmill building in Cleeves Riverside Quarter tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>A separate briefing of elected members will be given on Thursday, with the plans then being formally lodged with An Coimisi\u00fan Plean\u00e1la next week for consideration.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed development is located at one of Limerick&#8217;s most recognisable sites, synonymous for its 142ft red-bricked chimney stack.
