Hit Point, a brand new British police drama<\/a>, is coming to U and U&Dave. <\/p>\n

Penned by Howard Overman, the BAFTA-winning writer behind Misfits, the six-part series is being developed and produced by Urban Myth Films, whose credits include Paris Has Fallen and The Lazarus Project. <\/p>\n

Casting news is expected to be announced at a later date, with filming commencing next month. The Gentlemen director David Caffrey is slated to helm the series<\/a>. In the meantime, Hit Point has also been confirmed for a 2026 release, with U&Dave sharing a synopsis. <\/p>\n

Helen Perry, head of drama commissioning for UKTV, described Hit Point as “a cop show like no other”, adding: “With his singular voice, Howard has crafted a tense crime thriller that’s driven by a characterful will-they-won’t romance.<\/p>\n

“It’s a distinctive genre mash-up, full of heart, humour and action-packed sequences. It’s the perfect first scripted drama commission for U&Dave and U, and a marker of our ambition for drama on the channel.”<\/p>\n

Overman has also spoken about the series, raving: “We are all excited at Urban Myth Films to be teaming up with UKTV<\/a> on Hit Point. It’s been a joy to create a show that blends high-octane thrills with heart, humour and a love story at its core.”<\/p>\n
