{"id":136794,"date":"2025-10-21T20:47:08","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T20:47:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/136794\/"},"modified":"2025-10-21T20:47:08","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T20:47:08","slug":"alert-carlow-drivers-warned-as-nct-testers-make-scary-discovery-during-test","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/136794\/","title":{"rendered":"ALERT: Carlow drivers warned as NCT testers make &#8216;scary&#8217; discovery during test"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NCT testers have issued a warning after making a &#8220;scary&#8221; discovery during a recent test.<\/p>\n<p>Taking to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ireland-live.ie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">NCTS<\/a> Facebook page, testers shared an image of the wheel of a car recently brought for a test at a centre in Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>The image shows three of the five wheel nuts missing, posing a serious risk on the road and the potential for a tragic malfunction of the vehicle.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Their post said: &#8220;Scary! Spooky find during a recent NCT! This isn\u2019t just scary\u2014it\u2019s extremely dangerous. Loose or missing wheel nuts can cause wheels to detach while driving, putting lives at risk. Always double-check your wheels\u2014safety first!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, drivers are also being told of other\u00a0little known visual reasons your car could fail the NCT.<\/p>\n<p>The NCT says: &#8220;Taking a few minutes to check some of the visual items below and ensuring they are all working in advance of your NCT could potentially save you valuable time and money.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ NEXT<\/strong>:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ireland-live.ie\/news\/national-news\/1917108\/the-simple-nct-trick-that-could-save-you-from-driving-with-an-expired-disc.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The simple NCT trick that could save you from driving with an expired disc<\/a><\/p>\n<p>One of the more obscure items that you could easily forget to check is the little bulbs on your registration plates.
