John Stamos<\/a> is a loyal man.\n<\/p>\n During a recent appearance on the Good Guys podcast<\/a>, the actor, 62, gushed over his fellow Full House alum Lori Loughlin<\/a> and their longtime friendship. While the pair played a couple, Aunt Becky and Uncle Jesse, on the popular \u201880s and \u201890s sitcom, Stamos explained that he and Loughlin, 61, were never lovers in the real world.\n<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of people think, \u2018Oh, you guys were romantic,\u2019 or whatever,\u201d Stamos said. \u201cYou know, I happened to say she was the one that got away in something \u2014 I think it was before I met [wife] Caitlin [McHugh<\/a>] \u2014 and, you know, it was an interesting thing.\u201d\n<\/p>\n \u201cI wrote about in the book, there was a very small window of the two of us being single at the same time,\u201d he continued, referring to his 2023 memoir.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n Lori Loughlin and John Stamos.<\/p>\n Alberto E. Rodriguez\/Getty<\/p>\n Stamos likened a younger Loughlin to Sandy in Greece \u201cbefore the leather,\u201d while his ex-wife Rebecca Romijn<\/a> \u201cwas Sandy after the leather and the, \u2018Tell me about it, stud.\u2019\u201d\n<\/p>\n \u201cThere was a moment where I had the choice, I think, and I was more into the rebellious,\u201d he admitted. \u201cLori was so sweet, and I loved working with her, but she was too nice for me.\u201d\n<\/p>\n On Oct. 3, news broke that the When Hope Calls actress separated from husband of nearly 28 years<\/a> Mossimo Giannulli<\/a>, and Stamos shared that he and McHugh have been there to support Loughlin as she navigates the new chapter.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s not a clear thing all the time with something like this,\u201d Stamos noted. \u201cShe lives in my neighborhood, Lori, and so, you know, I was over there a lot and she came to our house a couple times and Caitlin\u2019s been good about it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n Podcast hosts Ben Soffer and Josh Peck then joked that \u201cthe biggest question\u201d that fans submitted ahead of the episode was asking if Stamos would \u201cever leave your wife for\u201d Loughlin.\n<\/p>\n \u201cNo f——- way!\u201d Stamos exclaimed. \u201cI\u2019m not Mormon. Do you do that with your wife? Are you a swinger?\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n The Born to Ride star further revealed that although his relationship with Loughlin was \u201calways platonic,\u201d they might have had one intimate moment off-camera when they were both single.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \u201cI always thought that we made out on some ride at Disneyland \u2014 I’ve known her since the early ’80s. I remembered, I think she said it didn’t happen,\u201d he quipped.\u00a0So, I don’t know if it was something I made up in my mind. He married Romijn in 1998 before they divorced<\/a> in 2005, and he went on to marry McHugh<\/a> in 2018. Meanwhile, Loughlin was married to Michael R. Burns from 1980 to 1996 and has been with Giannulli since 1997 until their separation<\/a> earlier this month.\n<\/p>\n \u201cI’m just heartbroken for her right now,\u201d Stamos said. \u201cShe\u2019s just devastated. For a girl who has lived her life really well, a good person, a good mother, a good wife \u2014 I know all this for a fact \u2014 to be thrown into now this separation and, you know, exploding, blowing up her family this way. I just hate to see her go through this. I pray that he realizes that what he had was everything that anyone could ever hope for and that he gets some help.
