{"id":139679,"date":"2025-10-23T03:50:51","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T03:50:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/139679\/"},"modified":"2025-10-23T03:50:51","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T03:50:51","slug":"woman-60s-dies-after-crash-in-co-down-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/139679\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman, 60s, dies after crash in Co Down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A woman in her 60s has died after a crash in Co Down.<\/p>\n<p>Police received a report of a collision in the Ballygowan Road area of Comber at 12.30pm yesterday afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>Officers and other emergency services attended the scene.<\/p>\n<p>PSNI Inspector Cherith Adair said: &#8220;Sadly the driver of the car, a woman aged in her 60s, was confirmed deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Ballygowan Road has now reopened.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Collision investigation unit detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are particularly keen to hear from persons who witnessed the incident or hold digital footage which may assist with inquiries.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This includes dash-cam, mobile, CCTV or other material.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A woman in her 60s has died after a crash in Co Down.
