{"id":140381,"date":"2025-10-23T11:07:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T11:07:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/140381\/"},"modified":"2025-10-23T11:07:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T11:07:13","slug":"donegal-farmers-to-share-almost-e12m-in-advance-eco-scheme-payments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/140381\/","title":{"rendered":"Donegal farmers to share almost \u20ac12m in advance Eco-Scheme payments\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Thousands of Donegal farmers are to receive almost \u20ac12m in advance payments under the 2025 Eco-Scheme.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The confirmation was made today by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Martin Heydon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He said 7,750 farmers here will share a total of \u20ac11.89 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Nationally, almost 110,000 across the country will receive advance payments worth \u20ac194.5 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The aim of Ireland\u2019s Eco-Scheme is to reward farmers for undertaking actions beneficial to the climate, environment, water quality and biodiversity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Eco-Scheme payments are a vital support for farmers and the payment rate in 2025 will be \u20ac66 per eligible hectare,\u201d Minister Heydon said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy Department remains committed to ensuring that all scheme payments continue to issue in the most efficient way possible to ensure that these vital supports are delivered to farmers in a timely manner. Today, 93% of all 2025 Eco-Scheme eligible applicants have been paid in line with the Department\u2019s commitment under the farmers charter to pay 90% of eligible applicants.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Farmers wishing to contact the department regarding their Eco-Scheme payments can phone the Direct Payments Helpdesk at 057 8674422.
