The 23-year-old was reported missing on October 6th after arriving in Sydney from Darwin.<\/p>\n

He was missing for two weeks and was found sleeping rough in the city on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Dylan is now safe and receiving treatment in hospital, but his family urgently want to fly down under to be by his side.<\/p>\n

A family friend has set up a GoFundMe<\/a> to raise money to help his parents, John and Rachel, get to Australia.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis parents are desperate to be with their son and to bring him home when he is well enough, but the unexpected costs of urgent travel, accommodation, and recovery-related expenses are beyond their means right now,\u201d the fundraiser reads.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re asking for help to cover flights to Sydney, temporary accommodation [and] support with getting Dylan safely home.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you are able to contribute, no matter how small, it would mean the world to our family.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf there are any funds left over after Dylan gets home, we intend to donate them, equally to Irish Support Agency NSW AND Pieta House.\u201d<\/p>\n

So far, \u20ac3,292 has been raised by 113 donors, with a total target of \u20ac4,000.<\/p>\n

The family say that they were seriously concerned for Dylan\u2019s mental health following reports about his behaviour before he vanished.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter an agonising wait and weeks of uncertainty, he was finally found on the 21st October; disoriented, unwell, and suffering from a severe mental health crisis,\u201d the family said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is evident that he has been sleeping rough in Sydney for over two weeks, and he had no belongings with him when he was found.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is now safe and receiving care in hospital, but he is far from home and from the family that loves and supports him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe will need to stay in Sydney for some time while he receives the care he so badly needs.\u201d<\/p>\n

New South Wales police also issued an appeal to help and find Dylan.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Western Australia Police Force were notified and commenced inquiries into Dylan\u2019s whereabouts,\u201d police said.<\/p>\n

\u201cPolice and family have concerns for Dylan\u2019s welfare as his disappearance and lack of contact is highly unusual.<\/p>\n
