Up next from Suitable Flesh<\/a> and \u201cTales from the Void<\/a>\u201d director Joe Lynch<\/strong> is horror comedy Buzzkill<\/strong>, and Deadline<\/a> reports that Billy Magnussen<\/strong> and Lulu Wilson<\/strong> have been set to star.<\/p>\n

Lynch will direct from a screenplay by Colin McLaughlin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The horror comedy comes with an amusing premise: \u201ca small Texas town terrorized by a creature that can only be seen by people who are drunk.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

It\u2019s described as a mix of A Quiet Place and\u00a0Another Round, with Magnussen starring as the \u201crecently widowed and recovering alcoholic Sheriff Red, who launches an investigation as locals begin turning up murdered and dismembered one by one, discovering that the monster feeds on the blood alcohol content of its victims. With the annual brewery festival fast approaching, the whole town is about to get wasted. Red must face his demons and pick up the bottle one last time to take down the monster and save his town for good.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wilson will play Lydia, Red\u2019s vengeful little sister.<\/p>\n

Brothers Dane and Cole Eckerle are producing through their company, Bad Grey. \u201cColin has crafted a story that\u2019s equal parts hilarious, scary, and action-packed \u2014 an entertaining romp from start to finish,\u201d said Dane Eckerle.<\/p>\n

Lulu Wilson is no stranger to horror, known for her work in The Wrath of Becky<\/a>, Ouija: Origin of Evil, \u201cThe Haunting of Hill House\u201d, and more. Billy Magnussen previously starred in \u201cBlack Mirror\u201d and Velvet Buzzsaw. Lynch is also known for genre efforts including Everly, Mayhem, and \u201cCreepshow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Buzzkill is set to go into production in early 2026 in Texas.<\/p>\n
