{"id":141375,"date":"2025-10-23T21:29:16","date_gmt":"2025-10-23T21:29:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/141375\/"},"modified":"2025-10-23T21:29:16","modified_gmt":"2025-10-23T21:29:16","slug":"half-of-hr-professionals-plan-to-move-roles-as-hiring-managers-struggle-to-fill-critical-positions-survey-finds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/141375\/","title":{"rendered":"Half of HR professionals plan to move roles as hiring managers struggle to fill critical positions, survey finds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">Uncertainty across the job market is leading to hesitation on both sides of the hiring divide, with many HR professionals exploring new opportunities while employers hold out for the perfect candidate.<b\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Nearly half (45 per cent) of HR practitioners are looking to change roles, yet 31 per cent of hiring managers continue to struggle to fill essential HR positions, according to recruitment agency Michael Page\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.michaelpage.co.uk\/salary-guides\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">2026 Salary Guide<\/a>.\u00a0<b\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This has led to what the firm describes as a \u201cwait-and-see workforce\u201d, as employers are increasingly selective and candidates are hesitant to commit to roles.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.peoplemanagement.co.uk\/article\/1875208\/quarter-workforce-moving-jobs-next-six-months-research-finds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Quarter of the workforce moving jobs in the next six months, research finds\u00a0<\/a><b\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.peoplemanagement.co.uk\/article\/1933526\/two-thirds-hr-professionals-considering-switching-jobs-survey-finds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Two thirds of HR professionals considering switching jobs, survey finds<\/a><b\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.peoplemanagement.co.uk\/article\/1936787\/now-time-hr-move-beyond-ai-experiments\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">\u2018Now is the time for HR to move beyond AI experiments\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cHR recruitment continues to be shaped by a considered approach to permanent headcount decisions and a rise in interim roles,\u201d said Sophie Gorvett, operating director at Michael Page.<b\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Among HR positions, the most sought-after roles were HR business partner and total reward manager.\u00a0<b\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cHR professionals are now looking for greater clarity on purpose, wellbeing and work-life balance,\u201d Gorvett added. \u201cCompanies that look beyond salary and offer holistic packages will be the ones to secure the talent they need.\u201d<b\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The hesitancy of candidates is unsurprising, according to Kate Shoesmith, Recruitment &amp; Employment Confederation deputy chief executive, given the high levels of uncertainty workers had recently faced in the jobs market.<b\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cAfter years of intense change, it is understandable that each of us will seek stability and clarity about how a new position supports our career ambitions, as well as our life outside of work,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Challenges in hiring HR talent<b\/><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">When considering a new job, HR practitioners are increasingly prioritising work-life balance ahead of pay.
