They have since\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/live\/president-live-in-london-garage-3881864\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">played their first headline gig at The Garage in London<\/a>, though the identity of the members has remained a secret.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/is-it-really-charlie-simpson-fans-share-theories-after-unmasking-in-new-president-video-fearless-3868394\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Many fans are convinced<\/a> that their frontman is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/charlie-simpson\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Charlie Simpson<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/busted\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Busted<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/fightstar\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Fightstar<\/a> fame. Speculation comes after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/charlie-simpson-on-war-of-the-worlds-future-of-fightstar-busted-3822629\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Simpson revealed to\u00a0NME\u00a0last year that he was working on new music<\/a>. However, he only mentioned his plans with Busted and Fightstar, rather than any new projects coming up.<\/p>\n<p>Now, it\u2019s been revealed that President\u00a0was initially a solo project that eventually turned into a full band, and their names have been unveiled.<\/p>\n<p>In a new interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loudersound.com\/bands-artists\/president-interview-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Metal Hammer<\/a>, the anonymous frontman shared that the guitarist is named Heist, their bassist is called Protest, and their drummer is called Vice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re never going to discuss or acknowledge our identities,\u201d he confirmed during the interview, adding.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3881981\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/president-london-live-review-credit-adam-rossi-1.jpg\" alt=\"President\" width=\"2000\" height=\"1270\"  \/>President. CREDIT: Adam Rossi<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you\u2019re institutionalised into something and you eventually get out of it, you end up wondering, \u2018How much of this is what I think and how much is what I was told to think?\u2019\u201d he said. \u201cPresident is the perfect way for me to explore these feelings and not have it feel like \u2018me\u2019 who has the spotlight on them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>President are due to release their debut EP \u2018King Of Terrors\u2019 on September 26, with the band having already shared the singles \u2018In The Name Of The Father\u2019, \u2018Fearless\u2019 and \u2018Rage\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the interview, the frontman explained the ethos of the band\u2019s music, which he said is not intended to be anti-religion, but to aims to try and find \u201chigher meaning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy uncle passed away a few years ago and that was the first time I\u2019d had someone die who was close to me when I wasn\u2019t part of this religious thinking. It hit me really hard. So \u2018King of Terrors\u2019 sums up the journey I\u2019ve been on,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>The band played six songs in total at their recent London show \u2013 including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/watch-president-cover-deftones-change-in-the-house-of-flies-at-london-show-3881955\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a cover of Deftones\u2019 \u2018Change (In The House Of Flies)\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/reviews\/live\/president-live-in-london-garage-3881864\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a three-star review of President\u2019s London gig<\/a>,\u00a0NME\u00a0noted \u201ca cultlike atmosphere\u201d inside the venue. It read: \u201cSweat is already dripping from our singer\u2019s disturbing mask as he arrives at the glowing red lectern onstage.
