With just one week to go until the season finale of \u201cChad Powers\u201d is released on Hulu and Disney+, many fans of the show are starting to question if a second season is going to happen.<\/p>\n

The show tells the story of what happens when bad behaviour nukes hotshot QB Russ Holliday\u2019s college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers.<\/p>\n

\u201cChad Powers\u201d is based on the sketch produced by NFL Films and Omaha Productions that aired on ESPN+ as part of the Eli\u2019s Places series.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with TheWrap, <\/a>to promote the show, the show\u2019s co-creators and executive producers Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, were asked about the potential of a second season, with Glen Powell saying:<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve never had such a good time making anything. When you get to collaborate with one of your best pals and make something that you love so much and that brings such joy to people \u2026 I just really feel so proud that we\u2019ve done this first season and when you feel that way, you always make time. And so obviously it\u2019s a bit of a wild momen, but I have a lot of energy and especially a lot of energy to do something that gives me a lot of joy with people I love.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

With Michael Waldron adding:<\/p>\n

If folks dig it, we\u2019ll make more.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The series stars Glen Powell as Russ Holliday\/Chad Powers, Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson.<\/p>\n

Eli Manning serves as executive producer along with Omaha Productions\u2019 Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown and ESPN. Waldron and Adam Fasullo are executive producing for Anomaly Pictures. Luvh Rakhe will executive produce and Tony Yacenda will serve as director and executive producer. The series stars Powell, who is also co-creating, co-writing and executive producing under his production co-banner Barnstorm Productions.<\/p>\n

The first season of \u201cChad Powers\u201d is available to stream on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+, with the season finale being released on October 28th 2025.<\/p>\n

Roger\u2019s Take:\u00a0 \u00a0If the creative team enjoyed making the show, that\u2019s a good start, but just like Michael Waldron alluded to, it\u2019s ultimately going to come down to whether enough people watch the first season.\u00a0 Disney has been heavily promoting the series, and Glen Powell will undoubtedly pull in a bigger audience, but since Disney hasn\u2019t hyped the show\u2019s viewership numbers on social media and we don\u2019t yet have Nielsen viewership numbers, this could be a one-and-done type show.<\/p>\n
