Garda\u00ed in Tralee have confirmed that they have identified the woman, whose body was discovered in the water, along the Canal on Wednesday afternoon, October 22. <\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed had sought the public\u2019s help in identifying the female after the tragic discovery off the Canal walkway between Tralee and Blennerville at Lohercannon.<\/p>\n

Issuing a description of the woman they appealed for the public to come forward with any information. <\/p>\n

Garda\u00ed in Tralee have confirmed that the woman has been identified and they thanked the media and the public for their assistance stating that no further action is required. <\/p>\n

\u201cAn Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na wish to confirm that a formal identification has taken place at University Hospital Kerry of the unidentified female body that was located in the water,\u201d they said in a statement. <\/p>\n
