The first new episode adapts the &#8220;Akaniku Melon&#8221; (Orange Cantaloupe) story from the seventh manga volume.\u3000 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The first batch of five episodes of the anime <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2024-05-15\/atashinchi-net-anime-reveals-title-5-episode-length-june-5-debut\/.210856\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">debuted<\/a> with a similar monthly schedule per episode from June to October 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The new anime commemorates the 30th anniversary of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/people.php?id=5810\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Eiko Kera<\/a>&#8216;s original manga. It will animate stories in the original manga that were not adapted in the previous anime.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The manga inspired a television anime series that aired from 2002 to 2009. The ATASHIn&#8217;CHI film premiered in 2003, followed by the 40-minute 3D ATASHIn&#8217;CHI <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2010-06-19\/atashinchi-manga-made-into-3d-theatrical-anime\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">film<\/a> in 2010. A new television anime series titled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/anime.php?id=17691\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shin ATASHIn&#8217;CHI<\/a> premiered in October 2015, and ended in April 2016. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/company.php?id=7606\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Crunchyroll<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2015-10-06\/crunchyroll-to-stream-shin-atashinchi-tv-anime\/.93842\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">streamed<\/a> the series as it aired in Japan.<\/p>\n<p>The official YouTube <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@Atashinchi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">channel<\/a> for the anime has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2020-05-15\/atashinchi-anime-streams-on-youtube-with-english-subtitles\/.159591\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">streaming<\/a> the series and Shin ATASHIn&#8217;CHI with English subtitles since May 2020.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/encyclopedia\/company.php?id=8779\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Shinei Animation<\/a> and AlphaBoat describe the anime&#8217;s story:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>ATASHIn&#8217;CHI &#8230; describes the everyday life of the Tachibana family: Mother, who tries her best in everything she does despite her clumsiness; Father, who says little and insists on doing everything his way; Mikan, a high school romantic; and Yuzuhiko, who might appear to be emotionless at first glance but is quite na\u00efve.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kera <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2019-12-06\/atashinchi-manga-returns-after-7-years-with-new-serialization\/.154053\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">launched<\/a> a new serialization for the manga titled ATASHIn&#8217;CHI SUPER in December 2019, seven years after she originally <a href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2012-03-04\/atashinchi-comedy-manga-ends-after-17+years\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">ended<\/a> the series.
