Top American toy companies (and longtime rivals) Mattel<\/a> and Hasbro<\/a> announced partnerships with Netflix<\/a> to become global co-master toy licensees for the massively popular 2025 film KPop Demon Hunters on Tuesday. A joint press release by both companies stated the partnership will \u201cintroduce a full portfolio of toys, collectibles, games, role-play products, and more that will allow fans of all ages to drink up the characters, music, and world of the film in new and fun ways.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Netflix-Mattel partnership will include dolls, action figures, accessories, collectibles, playsets, and more, beginning in 2026. The Barbie maker will begin pre-sales for a three-pack of KPop Demon Hunters dolls based on HUNTR\/X members Rumi, Mira, and Zoey on November 12. <\/p>\n

The Netflix-Hasbro partnership, in turn, will see products \u201cacross categories such as special feature plush, youth electronics and role play.\u201d Hasbro has begun pre-sales for its forthcoming MONOPOLY Deal: KPop Demon Hunters through Amazon, Target, and Walmart on October 21. The game will go for US$12.97 when it ships on January 1, 2026.<\/p>\n

KPop Demon Hunters: \u00a9NETFLIX MONOPOLY Deal: \u00a9Hasbro<\/p>\n

Netflix Chief Marketing Officer Marian Lee promised “the best dolls, games, and merchandise” that (she tactfully acknowledged) fans have “been not-so-subtly demanding on every social platform known to humanity.”<\/p>\n

KPop Demon Hunters is a 2025 musical urban fantasy film directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans and animated by Sony Pictures<\/a> Animation. The film premiered on Netflix on June 20 and stars Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, May Hong, Ji-yong Yoo, Yunjin Kim, Saniel Dae Kim, Ken Jeong<\/a>, and Lee Byung-hun. The film is Netflix’s most streamed film<\/a> of all time globally with 300 million views. Its first sing-along event in August made<\/a> it Netflix’s first film to top the U.S. weekend box office, and it is returning to theaters next weekend for more sing-alongs.<\/p>\n
