George Clooney<\/a> can\u2019t help but think of his \u201cOcean\u2019s\u201d franchise while watching news reports about the Louvre<\/a> jewel heist.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re a professional thief like I am, I was very proud of those guys,\u201d he joked with me Thursday night at the AFI Fest premiere of his latest film, Noah Baumbach<\/a>\u2019s \u201cJay Kelly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Will the now infamous jewel robbery make its way into \u201cOcean\u2019s 14<\/a>\u201d? \u201cI think we should rob the Louvre,\u201d Clooney<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

Four suspects broke into the Louvre in Paris on Sunday morning and stole eight pieces reported to be worth more than $100 million. Clooney is amazed how the culprits pulled off their caper \u201cin the middle of broad daylight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Describing the heist as \u201cterrible,\u201d Clooney said, \u201cI wonder if they\u2019re going to catch these guys. They seem to have done a pretty good job at getting away with it.\u201d<\/p>\n
