Aslan are searching for the \u201cMan in the White T-Shirt\u201d who became a legendary figure for the band and their fans 26 years ago.<\/p>\n

The Finglas group were heartbroken in June 2023 when their iconic lead singer Christy<\/a> passed away following a lengthy fight with a rare form of blood cancer. In 2024, Aslan<\/a> introduced Lee Tomkins as their new vocalist.<\/p>\n

The band are gearing up for a string of concerts over the Christmas<\/a> period, including a show on December 27 at Dublin’s Vicar Street. Ahead of the gig, Aslan have put out an appeal to locate the “Man in the White T-Shirt”.<\/p>\n

Aslan\u2019s beloved album Made In Dublin, the live album, was recorded over three nights in 1999 at Vicar St. During This Is, Dignam needed the crowd to become his backing singer but also wanted to split the backing in vocals in two.<\/p>\n

To do this, he selected “the man in the white t-shirt” to act as the dividing line. He told the crowd: “Do you see that bloke in the white T-shirt? Put your hand up. He\u2019s the halfway line there, right? That chap there.”<\/p>\n

The man took it in his stride and did an incredible job of conducting the crowd, resulting in one of the most iconic moments in the band’s history. The band now want your help to identify the man to bring him back for the upcoming Vicar Street show.<\/p>\n
