{"id":144143,"date":"2025-10-25T06:06:19","date_gmt":"2025-10-25T06:06:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/144143\/"},"modified":"2025-10-25T06:06:19","modified_gmt":"2025-10-25T06:06:19","slug":"jacob-elordis-full-frankenstein-monster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/144143\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacob Elordi&#8217;s Full &#8216;Frankenstein&#8217; Monster"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Almost a year ago to the day, the <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/nosferatus-new-posters-know-you-dont-need-to-see-him-to-be-scary-2000518880\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">promotional lead-up<\/a> to 2024\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/nosferatu-ushered-in-a-new-age-of-hot-monsters-and-were-here-for-it-2000558455\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">buzziest horror film,<\/a> Robert Eggers\u2019 Nosferatu, was still playing it close to the chest, abstaining from revealing <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/the-case-for-nosferatus-mustache-2000549035\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd\u2019s mustachioed Count<\/a> and urging folks to flock to the theaters to see him on the big screen for themselves. In 2025, the promotional team behind <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/guillermo-del-toro-ai-frankenstein-netflix-2000676639\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Guillermo del Toro<\/a>\u2018s Frankenstein has dropped all pretenses, giving prospective moviegoers an eyeful of Jacob Elordi\u2019s Creature in advance.<\/p>\n<p>In a series of posts on the <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FrankensteinGDT\/status\/1981767646732317017\" rel=\"nofollow\">official <\/a>Frankenstein X\/Twitter account, fans were met with character portraits of the ensemble, all following in the wake of Elordi\u2019s Creature. Before today\u2019s thread of posts, the only shots fans got of Elordi\u2019s enigmatic character were <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/netflix-frankenstein-trailer-oscar-isaac-jacob-elordi-2000665904\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">stray trailer glimpses<\/a> (as well as the odd <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DiscussingFilm\/status\/1981035286848008553\" rel=\"nofollow\">DiscussingFilm post of Elordi hugging his dog<\/a>), obscured by a heavy cloak, as he smoldered at the camera, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Fallen_Angel_(painting)\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u00e0 la Alexandre Cabanel\u2019s \u201cThe Fallen Angel.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Unlike Nosferatu, commenters under the post were more than willing to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/killerfangzzz\/status\/1981777889160048817\" rel=\"nofollow\">air out their thirst<\/a> for the 6\u2032 5\u2033 undead creature.<\/p>\n<p>Diverting from the train of thought on folks\u2019 downbadness for Elordi\u2019s character onto more artistic appreciations for his heavy makeup job, <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/artisans\/news\/frankenstein-jacob-elordi-prosthetics-guillermo-del-toro-1236554473\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Variety<\/a> reports Frankenstein\u2019s production crew used 42 prosthetics to transform the Euphoria actor into del Toro\u2019s monster. More specifically: 14 pieces for his head and neck. The Variety piece went on to detail that it took eight people 10 hours to apply Elordi\u2019s full-body prosthetics. Furthermore, his prosthetics needed to be applied 50 times. Joining him were castmates Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein, Mia Goth as Elizabeth Harlander, Christoph Waltz as Heinrich Harlander, and Felix Kammerer as William Frankenstein.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/gizmodo.com\/guillermo-del-toro-frankenstein-review-netflix-2000674420\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">io9\u2019s Frankenstein review<\/a>, we praised del Toro\u2019s film, writing, \u201cIt truly feels like a movie he was meant to make. A filmmaker at the height of his powers. And he\u2019s given us a film that, even with a few little issues here and there, we\u2019re likely to enjoy from now until forever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Frankenstein\u00a0is playing in select theaters, with plans to expand over the next few weeks.
