{"id":144304,"date":"2025-10-25T08:30:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-25T08:30:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/144304\/"},"modified":"2025-10-25T08:30:12","modified_gmt":"2025-10-25T08:30:12","slug":"skeet-ulrich-alicia-witt-and-more-join-gen-x-satirical-slasher-the-big-kill","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/144304\/","title":{"rendered":"Skeet Ulrich, Alicia Witt, and More Join Gen X Satirical Slasher &#8216;The Big Kill&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/bloody-disgusting.com\/editorials\/3785404\/this-is-halloween-the-gateway-horrors-of-cobweb-and-the-curse-of-bridge-hollow-double-trouble\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The Curse of Bridge Hollow<\/a> scribe<strong> Todd Berger<\/strong> is carving up Gen X satirical slasher <strong>The Big Kill<\/strong>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/the-big-kill-skeet-ulrich-alicia-witt-live-nation-studios-1236408941\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">THR<\/a> reports that it\u2019s found its stars.<\/p>\n<p>Scream stalwart<strong> Skeet Ulrich<\/strong>, <strong>Alicia Witt<\/strong> (Longlegs, Urban Legend), and <strong>Pete Holmes<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/bloody-disgusting.com\/reviews\/3778587\/woman-of-the-hour-tiff-review-anna-kendricks-unsettling-serial-killer-thriller\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Woman of the Hour<\/a>) will star in the film, which is said to pay tribute to Gen X and is set to popular 1990s songs.<\/p>\n<p>The Big Kill follows a \u201cgroup of longtime friends and their families as they share a remote cabin following a funeral. When a killer starts hunting the group, the friends are forced to confront the darkest elements of their past.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The trio joins an ensemble cast that includes <strong>Jolene<\/strong> (Star Trek: Enterprise) and <strong>Megan Suri<\/strong> (Companion, It Lives Inside), <strong>Jon Heder<\/strong> (Napoleon Dynamite), \u00a0<strong>Natasha Leggero<\/strong> (The Do-Over), <strong>Morgan Jay<\/strong> (St. Denis Medical), <strong>Trevor Wallace<\/strong> (Drugstore June), and<strong> Steph Tolev<\/strong> (Tires).<\/p>\n<p>Berger directs the film, which just wrapped production, from a script by Emmy-winning Daily Show writer <strong>Daniel Radosh.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Producers include Live Nation Studios and Mason Novick for MXN Entertainment. Ryan Kroft executive produces for Live Nation Studios.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHorror plus comedy set to \u201990s music equals a resounding\u00a0yes\u00a0for Live Nation Studios,\u201d Live Nation Studios head of film and television Kroft told THR. \u201cWith this fan-favorite cast and phenomenal producing team, The Big Kill is destined to be a horror hit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Berger added, \u201cWhen I saw Scream in the theater as a teenager, it blew me away because it was a slasher movie filled with people my own age, talking the way we actually talked. But then, over the years, I noticed something about the protagonists of slashers \u2014 they weren\u2019t aging like the rest of us.
