A man in his 60s has died after the car he was driving was involved in crash in Co. Wicklow yesterday evening.<\/p>\n
The incident, which involved two cars, took place on the R725, Rath East in Shillelagh at around 6.50pm.<\/p>\n
The man’s body has since been removed to the Naas Mortuary where a post mortem will take place in due course.<\/p>\n
A female passenger of the first car was conveyed to St Luke’s General Hospital Carlow Kilkenny for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life threatening at this time.<\/p>\n
The male driver of the second car was brought to the same hospital and subsequently University Hospital Waterford for treatment of serious injuries.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.<\/p>\n
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling on the R725 near Rath East between 6pm and 6.50pm yesterday are asked to make this footage available to investigating garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n
