Known for his vivid imagination and meticulous attention to practical effects, the director likened the cultural obsession with AI <\/a>to the arrogance of Victor Frankenstein, the infamous literary scientist at the heart of his upcoming Netflix adaptation of Mary Shelley\u2019s classic novel<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cAI, particularly generative AI \u2014 I am not interested, nor will I ever be interested,\u201d del Toro stated. \u201cI\u2019m 61, and I hope to be able to remain uninterested in using it at all until I croak. \u2026 The other day, somebody wrote me an email, said, \u2018What is your stance on AI?\u2019 And my answer was very short.
