Apple’s added a lot of great new features to iOS 26<\/a>, including a bunch of different updates to Apple Wallet. What you might not have known, however, is that Apple’s also given you the option to switch off one of the wallet app’s most annoying features.<\/p>\n

The Apple Wallet app can send out notifications with offers and other marketing messages \u2014 something Apple utilized earlier this year as part of its <\/a>“F1<\/a>” movie marketing campaign.<\/p>\n

Obviously, Apple had a lot at stake with the Brad Pitt-led movie and was pulling out all the stops to get people into theaters to watch it. Even going so far as to add an F1-themed sketch to the WWDC 2025<\/a> keynote address.<\/p>\n

Naturally, this decision to push the movie through Wallet notifications made a lot of people angry, especially those who didn’t even realize Apple Wallet could be used to advertise to users.<\/p>\n

The problem was, iOS 18 didn’t give users a way to switch that off. Thankfully, iOS 26 has fixed that mistake, and now lets you tell Apple Wallet to stop sending you ads and promotions \u2014 no matter how rare they might be. Here’s how to do it.<\/p>\n

1. Open Apple Wallet<\/p>\n

The first thing you’ll need to do is open up Apple Wallet<\/strong>. Either from the app icon, Control Center, or any shortcuts you have set up.<\/p>\n

2. Open the notifications menu<\/p>\n

In the top right corner, you’ll see a new three-dot menu that didn’t appear on iOS 18. You’ll want to tap this, then hit the Notifications<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n

3. Toggle off Offers & promotions<\/p>\n

Now you can pick and choose which Apple Wallet notifications appear. You have various options available here, most of which you should keep switched on for security reasons. <\/p>\n

However, you can toggle off Offers & Promotions<\/strong> without any issues, and this should stop you from getting unsolicited ads and promotions from Apple Wallet.<\/p>\n
