Coronation Street<\/a>‘s beloved character Eva Price’s new spouse Ben could be heading for a surprise affair on the famous cobbles, according to fan theories.<\/p>\n

Eva, played by Catherine Tyldesley, made her comeback to the ITV<\/a> soap this week after a seven-year hiatus. Audiences will remember that she was last seen in 2018, when she bid farewell to the cobbles for a fresh start in France.<\/p>\n

Following the tragic suicide of her daughter Susie Price’s father, Aidan Connor (portrayed by Shayne Ward), Eva chose to embark on a new journey with her young daughter.<\/p>\n

However, this week saw Eva return to Weatherfield<\/a> after her new husband Ben Driscoll, played by Aaron McCusker, surprised her by purchasing the Rovers Return, making her the new landlady.<\/p>\n

Eva was thrilled and quickly reconnected with her former neighbours, friends, and her sister Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson), as well as her old adversary Maria Sutherland (Samia Longchambon), reports the Daily Star<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As Eva and Ben settled in, more members of Eva’s new family arrived, including her daughter Susie. In addition, Ben’s son made an appearance – who turned out to be Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike), the new boyfriend of Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) whom she has been seeing for the past few months.<\/p>\n

Dee-Dee was shocked to learn that Ben was Ollie’s father, particularly since she initially had a disagreement with Ben upon his arrival at the Rovers, criticising him for calling her “darling”.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, Dee-Dee swiftly became acquainted with Ollie’s relatives as they made themselves at home on the cobbles. Yet viewers can’t shake the feeling that infidelity could be brewing between Dee-Dee and Ben, particularly given Dee-Dee’s upcoming departure from the programme.<\/p>\n

\"Corrie\"Fans have predicted a cheating twist<\/p>\n

Writing on a Coronation Street<\/a> Facebook<\/a> fan group, one viewer commented: “I’m sorry I had to laugh out loud, ollie to dee dee this is my dad, oooo gonna be fun I wonder how fast an affair is gonna happen.”<\/p>\n

Another fan concurred: “I was thinking the same thing.” A third added: “Oh here we go.” Meanwhile, a fourth suggested: “Probably leads to her exit.”<\/p>\n

Dee-Dee star Channique revealed earlier this month that she would be departing the programme. Sharing the news on Instagram, she penned: “After three whirlwind years of Dee-Dee Bailey, I’ve decided to say farewell to the cobbles.”<\/p>\n

The actress continued: “Bittersweet to be saying goodbye, but I am so excited for pastures new and enjoying the end of playing Princess Diana and her many expressions.”<\/p>\n
