Cloud data platform Aiven is set to create 40 new jobs in Cork over the coming three years.<\/p>\n
The company has chosen the city as the location for its Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) hub in its latest expansion.<\/p>\n
Its planned expansion hub will see the creation of a new sales organisation with supporting engineering and operational functions which will be focused on driving growth of the company\u2019s open-source core services.<\/p>\n
Aiven\u2019s decision to expand its Cork operations with a focus on hiring sales professionals will create 40 new jobs in the region over the next three years.<\/p>\n
Established in Helsinki in 2016, Aiven operates in the managed open-source data infrastructure sector, delivering fully managed services for widely used open-source technologies.<\/p>\n
It employs more than 400 people across 11 office locations and multiple remote locations globally.<\/p>\n
Enterprise minister Peter Burke said Aiven\u2019s decision was a strong endorsement of Ireland\u2019s reputation as a leading destination for global technology investment.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe creation of 40 high-quality jobs over the next three years will provide exciting opportunities for skilled professionals in the region and further strengthen Cork\u2019s position as a centre of innovation and commercial excellence,\u201d said Mr Burke.<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI welcome Aiven\u2019s continued commitment to Ireland and look forward to seeing the positive impact of this expansion.\u201d\n <\/p>\n
Aiven senior vice president Conor Forde said the company had this year surpassed $100m (\u20ac85.7m) in annual recurring revenue, and its Cork expansion was the next step forward.<\/p>\n

IDA Ireland chief executive Michael Lohan said the authority looked forward to supporting Aiven in its ongoing growth.<\/p>\n
