{"id":1509,"date":"2025-08-16T04:27:26","date_gmt":"2025-08-16T04:27:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/1509\/"},"modified":"2025-08-16T04:27:26","modified_gmt":"2025-08-16T04:27:26","slug":"limerick-mans-close-friendship-with-fashion-designer-found-dead-on-yacht","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/1509\/","title":{"rendered":"Limerick man\u2019s close friendship with fashion designer found dead on yacht"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">LIMERICK man Dylan Grace is among the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.limerickleader.ie\/section\/230\/community\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">many<\/a> left shocked and devastated by the sudden death of fashion designer Martha Nolan, who was found dead on a yacht in New York.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The Ennis Road native had been both a close friend and business partner of the 33-year-old, who was discovered on a yacht at the Montauk Yacht Club in East Hampton, Long Island, New York, on Tuesday, August 5.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The cause of death of the Carlow woman has not yet been officially determined.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Dylan Grace, originally from Ashbrook on the Ennis Road and currently based in New York, co-founded resortwear brand East x East with Ms\u00a0Nolan\u00a0in 2021.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In an interview with the Irish Independent in February of last year,\u00a0Ms Nolan described the Limerick man as \u201cone of my best friends\u201d.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cWe were living in the same building during Covid spending time together and that is when I started the Amazon business. My team at Ogilvy had gotten furloughed and I was looking to do something different,\u201d she told the Irish Independent.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI live alone and work from home. Dylan has just opened a bar so often I go there during the day to work as it is closed then. At home it is hard to stop working, some days I will realise I have not stepped outside at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In an Instagram post paying tribute to his late friend, Mr Grace wrote: \u201cWe dreamed big together, laughed harder than anyone else could understand, and built so much from nothing. I\u2019m truly blessed and grateful to have had you in my life. Love you so much Mar. Fly high girl.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He shared a collection of photos of the young businesswoman, some by herself, some with him and some with other associates.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Condolences flooded in on the post\u2019s comment section, with one Instagram user saying: \u201cMy heart is in pieces. Martha was a beautiful light that shined on so many.
