Kingpins Amsterdam put the spotlight on craftsmanship, innovation and community at its latest edition on 15\u201316 October, drawing more than 1,000 visitors from over 500 companies across 40 countries.<\/p>\n
The two-day denim trade show, held at SugarFactory, attracted industry heavyweights including Givenchy, Balenciaga, Max Mara, Hugo Boss, Levi\u2019s, G-Star and Tommy Hilfiger.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I walked through the show floor, I didn\u2019t just see exhibitors and visitors \u2014 I saw a community,\u201d said Kingpins CEO Vivian Wang. \u201cPeople from different cultures, generations and perspectives came together with one shared purpose, to move our industry forward with honesty, creativity and heart.\u201d<\/p>\n A major highlight was the launch of Made in Espa\u00f1a, the newest addition to Kingpins\u2019 \u201cMade In\u2026\u201d series, which showcases innovation and craftsmanship from specific regions.<\/p>\n Presented as an interactive museum-style installation, the area spotlighted Spanish excellence in textiles, technology, and chemistry, featuring companies such as Tejidos Royo, Pinter Group, Jeanologia, Asutex, Textil Santanderina, Recover, and Tintes Egara.<\/p>\n Collaborations between exhibitors underscored the spirit of partnership that has become central to Kingpins\u2019 identity, with capsule collections including Jeanologia x Textil Santanderina x Pinter and Asutex x Royo x Tintes Egara x Pinter Group.<\/p>\n \u201cOur Made in Espa\u00f1a project demonstrated exactly that community spirit,\u201d Wang said. \u201cIt was more than a showcase, it was a celebration of passion, craftsmanship and collaboration \u2014 proof that when we believe in something together, we can create something meaningful for everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n Building on momentum from earlier this year<\/a>, the show also featured an expanded Made in Japan area. This included additional mills and manufacturers, a \u201cStory of the Blue\u201d timeline tracing milestones in Japanese denim history, and a curated display of rare archival pieces from renowned Japanese denim makers such as Kurabo, Kaihara Denim, Nihon-Menpu, and Showa.<\/p>\n Kingpins\u2019 Jeanius Hub also returned in a larger format, continuing its mission to explore innovation and sustainability in denim production. Since debuting in April, the hub has become a focal point for showcasing cutting-edge materials and technologies.<\/p>\n This season\u2019s lineup included FibreTrace, Chloris Biochem, Circulose, Tejidos Royo, and Material Exchange.<\/p>\n Also new was The Gallery space, which highlighted the latest directional fabrics and trims expanded to include new developments from denim factories, chemical suppliers and fibre producers.<\/p>\n Kingpins is heading to China next for its Chengdu Pop-Up on 14\u201316 November. Drawing inspiration from Chengdu\u2019s dynamic streetwear and music culture, the event will blend B2B and B2C experiences, featuring workshops, retail spaces, and live podcasts.<\/p>\n \u201cNow we take this energy to Chengdu,\u201d Wang said. \u201cI hope Kingpins can bring the spirit and love of denim to China in a way that connects people, inspires new ideas and builds the future together \u2013 as one community.\u201d<\/p>\n Kingpin\u2019s April edition introduced a transparency tool which scientifically measures the environmental impact of every single stage of the production of a denim jean.<\/a><\/p>\n \n Sign up for our daily news round-up!
