Two men have been found guilty of the murder of Croatian national Josip Strok on a Dublin street last year.<\/p>\n
At the Central Criminal Court, 44-year-old Mark Lee and 19-year-old Anthony Delappe were found guilty by a majority verdict of of the murder of 31-year-old Mr Strok.<\/p>\n
21-year-old Connor Rafferty of Castlegrange Close, Clondalkin had pleaded not guilty to Mr Strok’s murder. The jury returned a not guilty verdict in respect of the murder charge against him.<\/p>\n
All three had already pleaded guilty to assault causing harm to Mr Strok’s friend, 29-year-old David Druzinec at the same location.<\/p>\n
The prosecution told the Central Criminal Court that Mr Strok was repeatedly kicked in the head, punched, stamped on and beaten.<\/p>\n
44-year-old Mark Lee of no fixed abode and Anthony Delappe of Melrose Avenue, Clondalkin were convicted by the jury following more than six hours of deliberations<\/p>\n
They have been remanded in custody for sentencing on 17 November next.<\/p>\n
