The Celebrity Traitors has confirmed its release window, with fans not having to wait too long until its premiere. <\/p>\n

The wildly popular BBC series<\/a> announced last year it would be developing a spin-off version with several famous faces, with the star-studded line-up being confirmed in May after months of speculation.<\/p>\n

With anticipation building, the broadcaster<\/a> has confirmed that the first season of the celebrity version will premiere in October<\/strong>, though it is yet to specify an exact date and schedule for its nine episodes. <\/p>\n

The announcement was teased by Syeda Irtizaali, Interim BBC Director of Unscripted, who said that fans could expect the same kind of heart-pounding drama and treachery that was present in the original series<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I was worried about how they were going to play it compared to members of the public, but we have nothing to worry about,” they told RadioTimes<\/a>. “Some of the things you’ll see them doing are extraordinary.”<\/p>\n

The series will once again be hosted by Claudia Winkleman, with the presenter previously saying that they were “incredibly lucky” to boast such a formidable roster for the debut celebrity season<\/a>. <\/p>\n

“We\u2019re incredibly lucky these brilliant people have said yes,” she said. “I’d love to say we’ll take it easy on them and they’ll just wander round the castle and eat toast for a couple of weeks but that would be a lie.”<\/p>\n

The line-up consists<\/a> of 19 famous faces including Alan Carr, Cat Burns, Celia Imrie, Charlotte Church, Clare Balding, David Olusoga, Joe Marler, Joe Wilkinson, Jonathan Ross and Kate Garraway.<\/p>\n

They will be joined by Lucy Beaumont, Mark Bonnar, Nick Mohammed, Niko Omilana, Paloma Faith, Ruth Codd, Stephen Fry, Tameka Empson and Tom Daley – but could more surprises be on the way?<\/p>\n

The Traitors<\/strong> series 1-3 are streaming on BBC iPlayer. The Celebrity Traitors will premiere in October.<\/strong><\/p>\n
