Updated 4:11pm: The road has since reopened.<\/strong><\/p>\n A section of the main Glenties to Frosses road remains closed this morning following yesterday\u2019s fatal crash.<\/strong><\/p>\n A woman in her eighties lost her life following a single vehicle crash near Glenties. She becomes the 11th person so far this year to lose their life on Donegal\u2019s roads.<\/p>\n Garda\u00ed are appealing for witnesses following the incident which occurred at approximately 3:50pm at Tullynaglaggin, near Kilraine, on the main Glenties to Frosses road.\u00a0<\/p>\n The woman, believed to be from the west of the county, was pronounced dead at the scene. A man, aged in his 80s, was also taken to Letterkenny University Hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening.<\/p>\n A technical examination of the scene will be conducted by Forensic Collision Investigators.<\/p>\n Garda\u00ed are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.<\/p>\n Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area between 3:30pm and 4:00pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Garda\u00ed.<\/p>\n Anyone with any information is asked to contact Ballyshannon Garda Station on 071 985 8530, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.<\/p>\n Main Glenties to Frosses road remains closed following fatal crash was last modified: October 30th, 2025 by Staff Writer<\/p>\n Tags:<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Main pic: Garda\u00ed at the scene of the fatal crash near Kilraine, Glenties.
