{"id":154855,"date":"2025-10-31T07:34:07","date_gmt":"2025-10-31T07:34:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/154855\/"},"modified":"2025-10-31T07:34:07","modified_gmt":"2025-10-31T07:34:07","slug":"man-20s-dies-following-serious-assault-in-kildare-town-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/154855\/","title":{"rendered":"Man, 20s, dies following serious assault in Kildare town"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Garda\u00ed have confirmed that a man has died following an assault in Kildare town at the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The man, aged in his 20s, was found unresponsive on Magee Terrace on the Dublin Road at approximately 3.15am on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>He was taken to Naas General Hospital after suffering head injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The coroner has been notified, and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.<\/p>\n<p>Garda\u00ed said the results of that examination will determine the course of the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>They are appealing for witnesses and are asking anyone who was in the area between 2am and 4am on Sunday to contact them.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with any information is asked to contact Kildare Garda Station on 045 527730, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any garda station.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Garda\u00ed have confirmed that a man has died following an assault in Kildare town at the weekend.
