{"id":15628,"date":"2025-08-22T07:00:10","date_gmt":"2025-08-22T07:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/15628\/"},"modified":"2025-08-22T07:00:10","modified_gmt":"2025-08-22T07:00:10","slug":"center-parcs-begins-expansion-with-irish-building-firm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/15628\/","title":{"rendered":"Center Parcs begins expansion with Irish building firm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">The first building phase of Ireland\u2019s largest outdoor resort was completed in 2020 by the Irish company.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">According to Sisk, the construction will not affect normal operations of the resort, which will remain open during the development period.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">A total of 300 jobs will be created for the project, as well as a further 250 permanent jobs once it is operational, Sisk said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">The new proposed development is set to increase capacity of the resort to 3,500 guests per break.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">The resort, situated near Ballymahon, Co Longford, has helped drive growth in the domestic tourism market, Sisk said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Over a 12-month period between April 2023 and April 2024, Center Parcs Longford Forest generated \u20ac58m for the Irish economy and welcomed 260,700 guests.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">For Longford, the resort has generated \u20ac44m and created over 1,000 jobs.
