Starting their season in earnest, All-Ireland hurling winners Tipperary will meet Galway under lights in FBD Semple Stadium on Saturday, January 24.<\/p>\n
That same weekend, Cork\u2019s teams will enjoy a home doubleheader in SuperValu P\u00e1irc U\u00ed Chaoimh: Ben O\u2019Connor\u2019s first season game coming against promoted Waterford, which is preceded by the footballers\u2019 Division 2 clash with Cavan.<\/p>\n
Limerick have a bye in the opening hurling weekend as Offaly and Kilkenny meet in the remaining Division 1 game. Clare v Dublin is the pick of the first round matches in Division 2.<\/p>\n
The National Football League fixtures currently being disseminated among counties are provisional but the Rossies under new manager Mark Dowd and selector\/coach Jason Sherlock are expected to be the Kingdom\u2019s opponents in the county\u2019s first home opening in Killarney since Tyrone in 2019.<\/p>\n
A trip to Donegal is pencilled in for the following weekend before Jack O\u2019Connor\u2019s men return home to Austin Stack Park to face Galway in Round 3. Meanwhile, Jason Sherlock has been confirmed as part of the Roscommon senior football management team under new manager Mark Dowd.<\/p>\n
