However, when she and husband Michael bought and renovated her grandparents\u2019 cottage, she found she needed art for its many walls and rediscovered her talent. Photo: Tony Gavin<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom0 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">When a house is full of colours, shapes and textures, it\u2019s a sure sign that the homeowner is artistic and that\u2019s true of Riki Neill, whose home near Lisburn in Northern Ireland has rooms decorated in every colour under the sun, with fun furnishings and striking lighting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom0 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Indeed, Riki studied art at Ulster University but almost immediately the art fell by the wayside as she landed in a completely different career \u2013 public relations (PR) consultancy. She\u2019s been extremely successful, building up her award-winning company RNN Communications, representing clients in retail, construction and renewables, and is so busy that she has a staff of six. \u201cI\u2019ve a curious mind, I\u2019m interested in everything, so I like a wide variety of clients,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Riki Neill studied art, then fell into a different career.
