There was a time when reality television\u2019s Charlotte Crosby<\/a> was best known for drunken antics and late-night romps.<\/p>\n

One of the original cast members of MTV\u2019s Geordie Shore<\/a>, the Sunderland-born personality left the nation aghast when she had sex in front of the cameras during the early days of the series.<\/p>\n

These days, however, Charlotte\u2019s career has taken a most unlikely change of direction as she attempts to become a squeaky-clean fashion guru and \u2018mumfluencer\u2019.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s certainly not lacking in determination. For I can reveal that Charlotte has left her associates stunned with what members of the influencer community describe as \u2018a ruthless move\u2019 to ditch her longstanding management company and sign, instead, with glitzy London-based firm InterTalent run by showbusiness guru Jonathan Shalit.<\/p>\n

Her previous agency, Bold, had worked tirelessly to take Charlotte from relative obscurity on Geordie Shore to her new role as an influencer with more than eight million followers on Instagram.<\/p>\n

A source close to Charlotte told me: \u2018She completely blindsided her former management team.<\/p>\n

\u2018They had no idea of her intentions. There was no inkling that anything was wrong.<\/p>\n

\u2018They\u2019d obviously been working with her for many, many years. They\u2019d done everything for her. When she told them she was leaving it came as a real shock.\u2019<\/p>\n

Bold had secured a number of lucrative deals over the years, including television shows, clothing brands and book deals.<\/p>\n

\u2018More recently, her family reality TV show aired on Paramount+ after two series of Charlotte in Sunderland ran on BBC Three from 2023 to 2024,\u2019 explained the source.<\/p>\n

\u2018Everything has been ticking over nicely for Charlotte since having her two children.<\/p>\n

\u2018She did two series showing her family life on the BBC and even when they didn\u2019t commission a third her team got her a new show on Paramount+.<\/p>\n

\u2018They really couldn\u2019t have done any more for her.\u2019<\/p>\n

Charlotte first appeared on our screens in 2011. The vulgar yet trailblazing Geordie Shore featured a group of young men and women living together in the same house in Newcastle.<\/p>\n

Her drunken behaviour and ceaseless rows were a constant thread running through the drama.<\/p>\n

In 2016, shortly before she quit the show for good, Charlotte was convicted of drink-driving and given a three-year ban.<\/p>\n

Charlotte left Geordie Shore in 2016. She has two daughters, Alba Jean and Pixi Cecilia<\/p>\n

She pleaded guilty and later issued a fulsome apology, saying: \u2018It was a very stupid and reckless thing to do. I\u2019ve let myself down. It won\u2019t happen again\u2019.<\/p>\n

It had happened before, however: Charlotte had already received an 18-month driving ban in 2012.<\/p>\n

She left Geordie Shore in 2016 after completing 12 series. She has since appeared in a host of television shows including Celebrity Big Brother – which she won – Just Tattoo Of Us, Ex on the Beach and Celebs Go Dating.<\/p>\n

She appeared to be thriving both at home and professionally.<\/p>\n

Charlotte has two daughters with her fianc\u00e9, Jake Ankers: Alba Jean, born in 2022, and Pixi Cecilia, who was born in January 2025.<\/p>\n

In May, she sold her Sunderland mansion for \u00a31,400,000 and has since moved into a new home. She has also had the means to buy a Spanish villa on the Costa Blanca resort.<\/p>\n

Just a few weeks ago, however, Charlotte made it clear she was ready to step away from TV altogether and make her fortune with a new clothing brand, Pepper Girls Club.<\/p>\n

\u2018I think my heart is at doing the absolute best with my business and being in a position to never have to do TV again,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n

The move to InterTalent – which looks after fellow influencers Jaqueline Jossa, Jess Wright and Kelly Brook – appears to be the next step in this re-invention.<\/p>\n

Then, earlier this week, Charlotte launched a new personal brand – changing her Instagram handle from CharlotteGShore to TheCharlotteCrosby.<\/p>\n

\u2018This truly is the end of an era,\u2019 she told her followers.<\/p>\n

\u2018CharlotteGShore has been my identity for the past 15 years, since I was 20 years old.<\/p>\n

\u2018The truth is, since entering my 30s and becoming a mother, I\u2019ve felt more and more detached from that title.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m not that young girl from Geordie Shore any more and I haven\u2019t been for a long time.\u2019<\/p>\n

Her new direction has not been trouble free: Charlotte has been left \u00a3300,000 in debt after pumping her own cash into the clothing venture. No doubt her critics will be watching closely.<\/p>\n

As for what Charlotte\u2019s previous management think of her bold new move, it doesn\u2019t take a mind-reader to guess.<\/p>\n
