A woman in her 30s was seriously injured by a firework which was reportedly launched into a home in Dublin on Halloween night, garda\u00ed have said.<\/p>\n
In a statement they said uniformed garda\u00ed were on patrol at a bonfire on Cashel Avenue in Crumlin on Friday evening when fireworks and missiles were fired at them, forcing them to withdraw.<\/p>\n
Public order units were then deployed to allow Dublin Fire Brigade to attend safely.<\/p>\n
At about 6.30pm, garda\u00ed on the scene were told a firework had been fired into a private residence.<\/p>\n
A woman was treated at the scene by Dublin Fire Brigade before being brought to St James\u2019s Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.<\/p>\n
Garda\u00ed are appealing for any witnesses who were in the area between 5.45pm and 6.45pm on Friday to come forward.<\/p>\n
