Three years into their contentious legal dispute over their French winery, Brad Pitt<\/a>‘s team is doubling down on releasing ex-wife Angelina Jolie<\/a>‘s private communications.<\/p>\n

In an Oct. 29 Los Angeles Superior Court filing, obtained by USA TODAY on Nov. 4, the 61-year-old actor’s lawyers filed a compendium of evidence in support of his request for Jolie’s emails regarding legal strategy over selling her shares in their Ch\u00e2teau Miraval winery<\/a> in 2021.<\/p>\n

The 286-page filing includes both redacted and unredacted exchanges between Jolie and her counsel, dating back as far as 2008, which Jolie had recently turned over to the court<\/a>.<\/p>\n

However, the “F1<\/a>” star argued in an Oct. 27 letter that Jolie’s lawyers are withholding communications discussing legal strategy that are allegedly with “non-attorney” individuals, according to Us Weekly<\/a> and People<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Mr. Pitt’s reply brief does not address our arguments and continues to rely on conjecture and speculation \u2013 all for the purpose of invading her privileged communications with her lawyers,” Jolie’s lawyer, Paul Murphy, said in a Nov. 4 statement to USA TODAY.<\/p>\n

“This once again confirms that this lawsuit is the manifestation of Mr. Pitt\u2019s years-long effort to harass and control Angelina. We look forward to the upcoming hearing.”<\/p>\n

In a previous legal filing, Jolie challenged her ex’s request for her communications, noting her communications with her business manager and “close advisors,” who’d communicated with her legal team on Jolie’s behalf, “were intended to be confidential.” The individuals Pitt’s lawyers described as “image consultants,” Jolie has said, were staff who were employed by her.<\/p>\n

A hearing date is scheduled for Dec. 17, according to an Oct. 28 court document. The trial over Pitt’s allegations of Jolie’s breach of contract is scheduled to begin Feb. 1, 2027, more than five years after he filed his lawsuit in February 2022.<\/p>\n

Some of Jolie’s messages, which Pitt also included in his compendium of evidence, veered into the personal.<\/p>\n

In a May 2021 email that is partially redacted due to attorney-client privilege, Jolie messaged her business manager about stress over business and personal dealings.<\/p>\n

“I need to remove all stress. I honestly feel I am getting sick from worry. So I would like us to discuss better support. And not continuing relationships that you see cause me stress,” the 50-year-old “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” actress wrote.<\/p>\n

She also appeared to reference her 52-year-old brother, James Haven Voight, when she said, “Financial situations like Jamie where I just give and give and don\u2019t even get a thank you … is just wrong.”<\/p>\n

Jolie seemingly discussed setting aside funds while confiding, “It\u2019s not for me to have to worry that I am always responsible every year no matter what. And he doesn\u2019t need to save because he isn\u2019t advised and always gets funds.”<\/p>\n
