Avengers: Doomsday<\/a><\/strong> star Simu Liu<\/a> is teasing some more unannounced casting in the MCU<\/a> movie.<\/p>\n

Marvel Studios<\/a>\u2019 Avengers: Doomsday is now in post-production. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers, the film will be released in the United States on December 18, 2026. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars<\/a>, then arrives on December 17, 2027.<\/p>\n

What did Simu Liu say about Avengers: Doomsday?<\/p>\n

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, Liu was asked about his experiences filming the MCU movie. At one point, Liu noted that he didn\u2019t \u201cwant to say the wrong name if they\u2019re not announced [already],\u201d which alludes to there being some actors in the movie that the public doesn\u2019t know about as of yet.<\/p>\n

Liu\u2019s full quote reads, \u201cI think everybody experiences their own version of imposter syndrome at some point in their lives, and stepping onto set with some of the names that you are alluding to, I definitely felt a lot of that. So, yes, there was the insecurity and the imposter syndrome, but then there was the fun part of, like, \u2018Oh my God, that\u2019s \u2026\u2019 I don\u2019t want to say the wrong name if they\u2019re not announced [already], but it was like, \u2018That\u2019s Sir Ian McKellen, and he\u2019s wearing his superhero costume.\u2019 It was such a wonderful way to meet somebody that you admire so much. And to get to play in the sandbox with them and, in a lot of cases, play with characters that they had developed over decades, it was just a really, really special experience. And I think that translates to the screen really, really well.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I think it\u2019s going to blow people\u2019s minds when they see it in theaters. There were so many actors and so many characters where you\u2019re like, \u2018Just seeing them interact on screen is worth the price of admission alone.\u2019 And then we have all this other stuff on top of that, so I\u2019m really excited about it.\u201d<\/p>\n
