In a post on social media, Irish Rail said a train had \u201cbroken down\u201d in Balbriggan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Northern Commuter services were previously suspended with alternatives in place, but are now resuming, following the earlier mechanical fault.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Services between Skerries and Balbriggan were due to restart at 5.30pm, on a limited basis. A full service is then expected to resume by 6.30pm, with \u201cresidual delays\u201d.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">Limited bus transfers are also available for Enterprise services, but customers have been advised to make alternative arrangements where possible.<\/p>\n<p class=\"indo-ebe0ecc6_root indo-ebe0ecc6_paragraph indo-300db776_none indo-91174671_primary indo-1d70522a_marginbottom5 indo-1d70522a_margintop0 indo-b48c4984_inherit\" style=\"color:var(--color-primary-80)\">\u201cIarnr\u00f3d \u00c9ireann apologises to customers for the inconvenience caused,\u201d a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"latest\u00a0|\u00a0 There is major disruption to Northern Commuter and Enterprise services this evening.
