{"id":164830,"date":"2025-11-05T20:27:09","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T20:27:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/164830\/"},"modified":"2025-11-05T20:27:09","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T20:27:09","slug":"irelands-junior-eurovision-star-debuts-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/164830\/","title":{"rendered":"Ireland&#8217;s Junior Eurovision star debuts video"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ireland&#8217;s Junior Eurovision Song Contest hopeful, Lottie O\u2019Driscoll Murray, has debuted the video for her song R\u00fain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"youtube-container tpe\" data-embed=\"youtube\" data-id=\"DAEFap0n7Zc\">\n<p>The 14-year-old Cork native will represent Ireland in this year\u2019s event in Tblisi, Georgia on 13 December following a nationwide search that saw hundreds of young people audition on the five-part TG4 series.<\/p>\n<p>Lottie will now compete against seventeen other countries, including Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and last year\u2019s winners Georgia to be named the winner of this year\u2019s Junior Eurovision Song Contest.<\/p>\n<p>R\u00fain, which means &#8216;secret\u2019, was written by songwriting duo Ian James White and Nicky Brennan along with singer-songwriter and native Irish speaker Jenny N\u00ed Ruis\u00e9il.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Celine ODriscoll MUM Lottie ODriscoll Murray \" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/00236f30-614.jpg\"\/><br \/>\nLottie O&#8217;Driscoll Murray (right) pictured with her mother Celine<\/p>\n<p>Lottie has been singing all her life, with the support of her mother Celine and grandmother Charlotte.<\/p>\n<p>She has previously appeared on The Late Late Toy Show and performed at the Cork Opera House. Last year, she made it to the final stage of the national selection for Junior Eurovision on TG4, before narrowly missing out to Kilkenny\u2019s Enya Cox Dempsey.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;She\u2019s back better than ever and she\u2019s definitely going to do it!&#8221;, says her grandmother Charlotte.<\/p>\n<p>Ireland is celebrating its tenth year in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, having first entered the competition with Aimee Banks in 2015. Ireland finished in fourth place in 2022 with Co.
