With every new detail that comes out about Theresa Nist<\/strong> and Gerry Turner\u2019s<\/strong> marriage, the stranger it gets. The pair of senior citizens tied the knot at the end of the inaugural season of The Golden Bachelor, only to end up divorced a few months later.<\/p>\n

Rumors were swirling that they divorced because they couldn\u2019t agree on where to live. We later learned that Gerry had a cancer diagnosis that changed his outlook on life. Now, Teresa has come forward with even more tea, and she revealed some unusual comments her ex made toward her before they split for good.<\/p>\n

Theresa Nist says Gerry Turner joked about chopping up her body<\/p>\n

Theresa recently appeared on the Dear Shandy podcast, and she dished on the off-camera dynamic<\/a> she shared with Gerry. According to her, she never planned on spilling tea about Gerry, but when he decided to publish a tell-all book, she had no choice but to air him out.<\/p>\n

Throughout their brief marriage, Theresa said that Gerry frequently \u201clashed out\u201d at her over small things. She recalled one particular conversation that immediately had her second-guessing their relationship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI finally went to his house, and we took a walk around this lake called Pretty Lake, and we were coming to the end of it. This is really bizarre. He said, \u2018You see that shed up there?\u2019 I said, \u2018Yeah.\u2019 He said, \u2018Well, that\u2019s where I\u2019m going to hide your body after I kill you and chop you up,\u2019\u201d Theresa claimed.<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cAnd he wasn\u2019t laughing. I said, \u2018Well, if this was his idea of a joke, that was pretty dark humor.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Theresa didn\u2019t think Gerry would actually kill her, but she felt like the comment illustrated his underlying animosity towards her. He clearly didn\u2019t think too highly of her, because he dedicated plenty of pages in his memoir<\/a> to dragging her.<\/p>\n

In the book, Gerry said he felt \u201ctrapped\u201d by the marriage to Theresa, and he said he never felt \u201coverjoyed\u201d about her. He also made claims about her finances and accused her of misrepresenting herself on the show. The whole thing is messy, and it\u2019s clear that divorce was the right call for both of them.<\/p>\n

The Golden Bachelor<\/a> Season 2 is currently airing on ABC on Wednesdays at 9\/8c.<\/p>\n
