Could Prince Harry<\/strong> be the next Mountbatten Windsor in line to lose his royal titles?<\/p>\n

After the 41-year-old\u2019s father, King Charles III<\/strong>, made the shocking decision<\/a> last week to strip his brother Andrew Mountbatten Windsor<\/strong> (formerly Prince Andrew) of his \u201cStyle, Titles and Honours,\u201d royal watchers are speculating it may also happen to Harry.<\/p>\n

In June 2022, British politician Rachael Maskell<\/strong> proposed the Removal of Titles Bill<\/a> that would grant the king legal power to \u201cremove any title\u201d either \u201con his own initiative\u201d or following a recommendation made by a joint committee of Parliament. Though it \u201cdid not progress beyond its first reading\u201d at the time, Maskell relaunched the proposal last month (with the additional power for a king to also remove a title \u201cat the request of the person\u201d who holds it), leaving many to question Harry\u2019s fate.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf they pass these bills, I would not be surprised if Harry is the next one to go,\u201d a royal source told Page Six<\/a> in an article published Tuesday, November 4.<\/p>\n

As Examiner has previously reported<\/a>, Harry has begun making amends with his father amid the royal\u2019s battle with cancer. But his estranged brother, Prince William<\/strong>, is next in line \u2014 and \u201cit\u2019s pretty much accepted within the royal household that once he does take the throne, Harry and Meghan will immediately get their titles yanked,\u201d an insider told Examiner.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would not be surprised if William does that<\/a>,\u201d said the Page Six source. \u201cHe\u2019s not a vindictive person, but he feels very let down and it\u2019s always much more difficult when you are let down by somebody close to you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHarry must be quite scared,\u201d the source added.<\/p>\n

Charles\u2019 recent decision to strip Andrew, 65, of his titles comes on the heels of the release of a memoir by the late Virginia Giuffre<\/strong> who alleged that the former Duke of York had sex with her when she was a minor after they met through his connection with convicted sex-trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell<\/strong> and late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Andrew has vehemently denied the claims against him.<\/p>\n
