Drew Barrymore<\/a> had a bit of a snafu when she phoned a famous ex, Luke Wilson,<\/a> during a recent segment on her show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Barrymore called her old boyfriend with her guest, Vince Gilligan, who is best known for writing \u201cBreaking Bad\u201d and \u201cBetter Call Saul.\u201d <\/p>\n

Gilligan also wrote the screenplay for \u201cHome Fries,\u201d which Barrymore and Wilson both starred in. <\/p>\n

When Barrymore originally went to call Wilson during her live studio taping, he unfortunately didn\u2019t pick up. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not going the way I planned,\u201d Barrymore said as her phone rang, sans Wilson answering. \u201cBut, what does in life, right?\u201d <\/p>\n

When the daytime talk show host was sent to voicemail, she gushed over her time with Wilson. <\/p>\n

\"BarrymoreBarrymore waiting on Wilson to pick up her call.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were just talking about you, and we\u2019re sending you love, and can you believe \u2018Home Fries\u2019 was 27 years ago now?!\u201d Barrymore said over the phone. \u201cI know this is just a voicemail, but I love you, I\u2019m sending you love, and I\u2019m here with Vince on the show, and we\u2019re thinking about you.\u201d <\/p>\n

Luckily, Wilson ended up calling right back and gave a very sweet explanation for why he hadn\u2019t picked up. <\/p>\n

\u201cHey, Drew!\u201d he said. \u201cSorry, I was taking my trash cans out.\u201d <\/p>\n

Wilson, Barrymore, and Gilligan all reminisced about their time together, and the \u201cNever Been Kissed\u201d actor shared a very special memory from her relationship with Wilson, whom she dated from 1996 to 1998. <\/p>\n

\u201cRemember, I got arrested for public urination with you?\u201d Barrymore said, while Wilson laughed and said, \u201cI recall that.\u201d <\/p>\n

Barrymore has opened up about their public urination incident before, which occurred just before she and Wilson were going to see Beck in concert. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was peeking out of the bushes like, \u2018Hi!\u2019\u201d Barrymore said when she had Wilson on the show in February.<\/a><\/p>\n

Wilson added that the two were \u201cdetained us for a little bit and frisked us.\u201d <\/p>\n
