Cuddihy, who is set to take over from Joe Duffy as the host of Liveline on RT\u00c9 Radio 1, was originally set to appear on the Late Late on Friday, October 10.<\/p>\n

However, Newstalk argued he remained under contract with them, and his appearance was abruptly pulled.<\/p>\n

With Cuddihy making his debut on Liveline next Monday, he will sit down with Patrick Kielty to speak about the programme as it gets ready to celebrate its 40th year on air.<\/p>\n

The former host of The Hard Shoulder will also discuss his upbringing in Co Kilkenny, his career to date and what it means to him to be taking over from Duffy.<\/p>\n

Also joining Kielty this week will be actors Steve Coogan and \u00c9anna Hardwicke, who will be chatting about their starring roles in Saipan, the film retelling the story of the infamous row between Mick McCarthy and Roy Keane at the 2002 World Cup in Japan.<\/p>\n

The film sees Coogan play the role of McCarthy while Hardwicke takes on Keane. The pair will tell Kielty about their preparations for the film.<\/p>\n

Social Democrats leader Holly Cairns will be in studio to talk about the current political landscape, the challenges ahead for the left-wing opposition and her vision for the future of the country.<\/p>\n

Ms Cairns will also be offering her take on the week in politics, including the fallout from the presidential election.<\/p>\n

There will be live music from singer-songwriter Nell Mescal, who will be performing a brand-new single. She will also chat about her upcoming headline tour, her rise through the music industry and her relationship with her brother, the actor Paul Mescal.<\/p>\n

Comedian Jarlath Regan is also set to appear, and will talk about how \u201cIrishisms\u201d inspire his comedy.<\/p>\n

A dream will become reality live on the Late Late Show this week, as one lucky child is set to learn they will be performing on this year\u2019s Late Late Toy Show.<\/p>\n

RT\u00c9 has also promised \u201cbig news\u201d for Toy Show fans, with the annual Christmas programme airing on Friday, December 5.<\/p>\n
