Rapper Namewee<\/strong> is currently in police custody over the death of OnlyFans model Iris Hsieh<\/strong> \u2014 but that hasn\u2019t stopped him from releasing new music.<\/p>\n

The Malaysian artist, who was named a \u201cperson of interest\u201d by authorities<\/a> after being identified as the last person to see Hsieh before her death, released a song titled \u201cVery Shaui\u201d on Spotify on Wednesday, November 5 \u2014 the same day he reportedly surrendered to police. The song title translates to \u201cVery Handsome,\u201d according to Google Translate.<\/p>\n

Hsieh, a Taiwanese influencer, was found dead in a bathtub at a Kuala Lumpur hotel on Wednesday, October 22. She was 31. Police announced on Tuesday, November 4, that the model had been murdered.<\/p>\n

Known to her fans as \u201cNurse Goddess,\u201d Hsieh was reportedly meeting with Namewee, 42, to discuss a video project.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor now, we regard this person who was last with the victim as being involved in the case,\u201d City Police Chief Datuk Fadil Marsus<\/strong> told reporters, according to New Straits Times<\/a>, of Namewee.<\/p>\n

A lawyer for Namewee confirmed he surrendered to police early Wednesday and was placed under remand for six days, according to the Associated Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Days before turning himself in, Namewee, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, was arrested after testing positive for amphetamines, methamphetamine, ketamine and THC \u2014 charges he pleaded not guilty to.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, November 2, the \u201cStrangers in the North\u201d rapper \u2014 who has one of the most popular Chinese music videos on YouTube \u2014 denied using drugs in an Instagram post, in which he expressed his \u201cdeepest condolences\u201d over Hsieh\u2019s death and added that the ambulance took \u201cnearly an hour\u201d to arrive, per a translation by ChatGPT.<\/p>\n
